Night, Elie Wiesel

This is a must read, but that should not come as a surprise. Winner of the Nobel Peace Prize (and numerous other awards), Wiesel describes Auschwitz in gruesome and unbearable detail. Why read something like this? Because people seem to be forgetting that something like this could happen again and we should never forget the potential for the absolute evil men are capable of. It’s a thin, but raw read that will require many breaks and reflection. I recommend buying the one with the forward by Wiesel. He states what I just said more eloquently… “The witness has forced himself to testify. For the youth of today, for the children who will be born tomorrow. He does not want his past to become their future.”
